Our PreK- 8th is great option for students and families who are looking for a traditional classroom experience while still keeping the freedom that homeschooling offers. In our Tuesday Thursday Learning Pod your student will cover their core academics. English, math, and history! We have park days, field trips, and movies nights planned throughout the year to foster a feeling of community and belonging amongst our students.
**Homework on off days will be required for students. Parental involvement is critical to student success.
1. English: With IEW's nine structural models,
teachers teach step-by-step: note making and outlines, writing from notes, retelling narrative stories, summarizing a reference, writing from pictures, summarizing multiple references, inventive writing, formal essay models, and a formal critique. Using IEW's stylistic techniques such as strong verbs, quality adjectives, and sentence openers, students incrementally move from basic to a variety of sentence structures, improved vocabulary and more sophisticated writing
2. Mathematical reasoning: (Grades PreK 5th) Forget boring math lessons and dreaded drill sheets. These fun, colorful books use engaging lessons with easy-to-follow explanations, examples, and charts to make mathematical concepts easy to understand.
3. Saxon math: (Grade 6-8th) Students are introduced to concepts in smaller parts making them easier to grasp while reviewing previously learned concepts. Instruction is written directly in the student text. Mental math, problem solving, and math facts are practiced daily
